Public policies for a competitive and sustainable insertion of Brazilian agribusiness in the world 2j81x

Agribusiness s for 27% of the Brazilian GDP, 20% of the jobs and almost half of the country’s exports. It is the most globalized sector of the economy and, for this reason, it faces increasingly complex challenges that cut across fields such as competitiveness, governance, market access and the environment. Brazilian agribusiness still lacks structural reforms, which are closely linked to its insertion in an uncertain global context. These uncertainties, in turn, are related to post-pandemic recovery, to the credibility of multilateralism, and to the course of global geopolitics as a consequence of the ongoing armed conflict on the one hand and of the threat of climate change on the other.  6c1o1y

Considering these strains, the present paper aims to give directions on the transformations and challenges of the dynamics of Brazilian agribusiness’ global insertion, and to offer recommendations that may guide public s on actions and strategies that may lead Brazil to live up to its full potential as a global agri-environmental player.
