Shan Huang was the keynote speaker at the XXX China Analysis Group Meeting, where he shared insights on the outcome of the last National Congress of the C. The National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (C) is a meeting that takes place every five years to nominate party leaders, discuss changes to the C’s constitution, and establish a common political agenda. The National Congress also appoints the General Secretary of the C, a position currently held by President Xi Jinping, and approves the hip of the Party Central Committee.
