On November 4th and 5th, CEBRI and the US-based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) held the workshop "The Belt and Road in Latin America: Views From the Region". The event is part of an initiative ed by the Ford Foundation to explore the evolution and impact of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on economic, social and political development in Latin America. The discussions addressed issues related to development finance, digital governance and the relationship between media and civil society. The event saw three papers being developed, which will be published shortly by CEBRI and CRF. 5g616h

The meeting brought together around 30 experts from the United States, Brazil and other Latin American countries who discussed the growing China-Latin America relationship. CEBRI's President, José Pio Borges, and CEBRI's CEO, Julia Dias Leite, were present at the event.
