  • Asia
  • 30 november 2018

Throughout 2018, within the scope of CEBRI's Asia Program, the China Analysis Group held nine meetings, promoting discussions on issues central to the Brazil-China bilateral relationship, the understanding of China's foreign and economic policy and its global expansion. In keeping with the Chatham House rule, these meetings brought together more than 400 representatives from academia, the private and public sector, including Chinese financial institutions and state-owned companies. 5x2g4c

In November 2018, the conclusions reached at these meetings gave rise to a position paper, containing guidelines and recommendations for a global and sustainable strategic partnership between Brazil and China, delivered to government authorities. With the aim of disseminating this reflection to a wider audience, CEBRI held the Conference "Brazil-China: Proposals for the Future", organized in partnership with Banco Santander and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). As the tenth and last meeting of CEBRI's China Analysis Group in 2018, the Conference received more than 200 participants and brought together speakers from the public and private sectors.
